Everything KetoCypher tracks.
A plain list of what the app does today: how it logs food, what it reads from and writes to Health Connect, which health signals it tracks, and exactly how your data is encrypted. If a feature isn't listed here, it isn't in the app yet.

Built for your way of eating
KetoCypher supports six Nutritional Protocols, chosen during setup and editable anytime: Carnivore (0 g carbs), Ketovore (10 g), Strict Keto (20 g), Keto (50 g), Low Carb (100 g), and Custom, where you set your own carb, protein, and fat grams.
Carb Mode controls which number is the headline on your daily macro view. Total Carbs is the default, summing every gram you eat. Net Carbs, which subtracts fiber and sugar alcohols, is one toggle away in Settings. Both numbers are always calculated; Carb Mode just decides which one is emphasized.
Logging food, fast and accurately
Add a food three ways: scan a barcode, search by name, or enter it manually. Barcode scans and name search query Open Food Facts, a large open food database, with your one-time permission the first time you scan or search.
Custom foods, multi-ingredient recipes, reusable meal templates, and favorites all cut down repeat logging. KetoCypher also remembers the serving amount you logged last time for a given food, so a daily staple takes one less tap.
Mark an entry planned instead of logged to map out a meal ahead of time; planned items stay out of your daily totals until you tap "Log it." If a food's nutrition looks wrong, correct it yourself, your fix is saved and reused the next time you scan or search that same product, and you can revert to the original numbers anytime.
Intermittent fasting timers and eating windows run alongside your log on the Today screen, with a break-fast warning if you try to log food mid-fast (you can still confirm and log it).
Tracking what keto actually needs
Sodium, potassium, and magnesium are tracked as first-class numbers next to protein and carbs, not buried as micronutrients, with editable daily targets and deficit alerts.
Ketones log from urine strips, blood BHB, or breath, and KetoCypher tracks your glucose ketone index (GKI) too, logged straight from a combo meter or lab report (no combo meter? work it out with the free GKI calculator). Glucose, A1c, blood pressure, and a full cholesterol panel (total, LDL, HDL, triglycerides) round out the lab-and-meter side. Every metric uses the unit your meter or lab actually reports, like mg/dL or mmol/L.
KetoCypher is a wellness and tracking tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose or treat any condition, and nutrition and lab figures are representative estimates. Consult a qualified professional before major dietary changes.
Connecting food to feeling
KetoCypher reads weight, sleep, heart rate, glucose, and steps from Google Health Connect, with each data type switched on individually in Settings and revocable anytime. With your permission, it can also write your logged meals, water, and manually entered weight, glucose, and blood pressure back to Health Connect so your other health apps can use them; writing is opt-in per data type and off by default.
Insights, trend charts, and weekly reports are computed on your device from your own logged data, not aggregate claims about what works for other people.
Privacy as the foundation
Every food entry, weight reading, and biometric value is encrypted on your phone before anything leaves it. The server stores ciphertext only; KetoCypher cannot read your log, even if compelled to.
There are no ads, no data selling, and no tracking networks anywhere in the app.
Free and Premium
The full app, logging, barcode scanning, fasting, health tracking, Health Connect, and on-device insights, is free with no paywall. Premium Backup adds automatic encrypted cloud backup and restore for $2/month or $20/year, priced to cover its own infrastructure cost, nothing more. See the full pricing breakdown or the FAQ for common questions.
Platform
KetoCypher is Android only right now. There's no iOS or web version yet; iOS is on the roadmap but unscheduled.
